The Green Power Forum was created in 2009 to help public and private sector organisations drive down their carbon emissions.

The GPF board has representatives from the public and private sector, all of whom are committed to reducing carbon emissions in the business community.

Mark McManus

Mark McManus is the UK managing director of Stiebel Eltron UK and is fast becoming one of the UK's leaders in renewable energy.

Stiebel Eltron UK is the daughter company of a global organisation which has a 500 million Euro turnover. Mark has spent the last two years relocating and relaunching the UK operation of one of the world's biggest renewable energy product manufactures.

Mark has delivered strong financial gains to Stiebel Eltron. The team has delivered significant results driving a turnover of 2 million in its second year of operation and is growing the UK operation by 36 per cent year on year. In addition to building financial gain for the organisation, Mark has also played a key role in expanding the level of training provision in his sector.

In 2010, Mark has also unveiled plans for major green energy training centre. The Green Energy training Centre will be dedicated to microgeneration technologies and will open in July on Merseyside. The GETC is a partnership between the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Stiebel Eltron and Scientiam the Birkenhead based training provider.

Mark was responsible was responsible for the launch of the Green Power Forum in 2009.

Mandi O'Shea

Mandi O'Shea is managing director of leading North West training provider Scientiam.

Sceintiam is one of the leading training providers to businesses, organisations and people across Merseyside, Cheshire and the North West. Scientiam contracts with the Skills Funding Agency to deliver a range of Government funded initiatives. Scientiam's programmes include Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, Train to Gain, Entry to Employment Programme Led Pathways and Response to Redundancy.

Mandi has been at Scientiam for three years, in which time she has seen the not-for-profit organisation double its turnover and grow from 35 staff to more than 60. Over the past year and under Mandi's robust leadership and growth strategy, Scientiam has also opened three new offices in Liverpool, Runcorn and Warrington to add its new headquarters in the Wirral.

In the last 12 months Mandi has also been one of the driving forces behind the development of the Green Energy Training Centre (GETC), which is set to open in Bromborough this June in partnership with Wirral-based global renewable energy manufacturer Stiebel Eltron and the Skills Funding Agency.

The GETC will train hundreds of installers and young learners each year and bringing on a new generation of green industry workers. Mandi has a strong vision for the future growth of the renewable energy industry in the North West, which is why she is firmly committed to Scientiam's significant investment in the centre and the promotion of a low-carbon North West economy.
